There are 58,000 people experiencing homelessness in the city of Los Angeles every single night. The dedicated members of our church burdened for this hurting population, volunteer at the Union Rescue Mission (URM) on all the fifth Saturdays of a calendar year from 5am to 9am.
Union Rescue Mission, one of the largest rescue missions in the United States, and the oldest in Los Angeles is a nonprofit organization established in 1891. URM is dedicated to serving men, women, and children experiencing homelessness by providing them comprehensive emergency and long-term services to help them escape the dangerous streets of skid row. This ministry has been able to embrace several lives with the compassion of Christ – giving the hope and healing for a changed life – helping them find their way home.
